Social Networking sites are the part and parcel of our life in modern era. The impact of these sites are multi dimensional. Social media is a phrase that we throw around a lot these days, often to describe what we post on sites and apps like Facebook, Twitter etc. The term is used so vaguely that it can basically be used to describe almost any website on the internet today. There is a positive and negative impact of social media on society. Social media has revolutionized the way people communicate and socialize on the web. There is a positive impact on business, politics, socialization as well as some negative effects such as cyber crime, privacy, and fake news. This Research Paper attempts to highlight the impact of social networking sites on education of students and their dependability on social media for educational purpose. This Research aimed at finding the increasing trend of social media usage in the present scenario, and its impact on the education and students.
